Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore, born in 1881, became one of the greatest wizards in history. After a tragic youth marked by his sister Ariana's death and his complicated friendship with Gellert Grindelwald, Dumbledore dedicated his life to fighting dark magic and protecting others. He defeated Grindelwald in 1945, became Headmaster of Hogwarts, and led the fight against Voldemort. Known for his wisdom, power, and love of sweets, Dumbledore orchestrated the events that would lead to Voldemort's defeat, even planning his own death at Snape's hands.
