Mind the Hoops, Keeper
Block every Quaffle you can. The rim shimmers gold a heartbeat before the shot — get to that hoop and dive if you have to. String saves together to build your multiplier; concede a goal and the streak is gone. Three goals through and the whistle blows.
Choose your broom
Match pace. Feints from wave four, twin shots later, three goals to give.

The Art of the Keeper
The Keeper is the last line of defence in Quidditch — the lone flier guarding three towering hoops while a trio of Chasers hurls the Quaffle from every angle. It is a role built on nerve and anticipation: a great Keeper reads the shooter's shoulders, commits early to the right hoop, and throws themselves across the goal to tip the ball wide at the last possible instant.
Oliver Wood, Gryffindor's fanatically dedicated captain and Keeper, treated every training session like a World Cup final — and that obsession is exactly what Keeper's Defense captures. The rim shimmers gold, the Chaser winds up, and you have a heartbeat to slide across and decide whether to hold your ground or dive. Feints will try to send you the wrong way, Screamers will test your reflexes, and twin volleys will punish anyone who drifts out of position.
Keep a clean sheet, chain your saves into a soaring multiplier, and climb from Reserve Keeper all the way to Keeper of Legend. Every completed shift earns Quidditch Career XP that carries across all three Quidditch games — then take the Sorting Quiz to find out which house your Keeper's instincts belong to.
Keeper's Defense — FAQ
How the Keeper mini-game works and how to climb the ranks.
How do you play Keeper's Defense?
Slide your Keeper along the goal line with the mouse, arrow keys, A/D or the 1/2/3 hoop keys. Before each shot the target hoop's rim shimmers gold and the Chaser cocks their arm — get to that hoop and click, tap or press Space to dive for the save. Concede three goals and the round ends.
Is Keeper's Defense free to play?
Yes. It runs right in your browser on desktop and mobile — no download and no sign-up. Pick a broom and start guarding the hoops.
What are feints and Screamers?
From wave four, some Chasers feint — the Quaffle changes course to an adjacent hoop mid-flight, always with a fresh telegraph so a save is still fair. Every so often a red Screamer comes in fast and straight for triple points, with an extra-long warning to keep it honest.
How is my score calculated?
Each save is worth points multiplied by your save streak, which climbs as you string saves together and resets when you concede. Screamers are worth triple, and two saves in quick succession earn a Double Eight Loop bonus. Your best score is saved on your device.
What is a Quidditch Career?
Every completed round of Keeper's Defense, Catch the Golden Snitch and Beater's Bludger Bash earns shared Quidditch Career XP that levels up your rank — from First-Year Flyer to Legend of the Pitch — and unlocks cosmetic broom trails and badges. Sign in to save your career across devices.
Can I play with a keyboard?
Yes. Use ←/→ or A/D to slide, tap 1, 2 or 3 to snap straight to a hoop, and press Space to dive. Press P to pause at any time.
